As a photographer by profession and a food enthusiast by leisure,  I find inspiration for baking and cooking from the visual qualities of what is in season and heirloom recipes. When I look to a recipe, I just want to see what it is going to turn out like in the end. Naturally, we do feast through our eyes and if I see a page of text, I am less apt to try the recipe. 

Through photography, my recipes evolve from simple ingredients to delectable works of art. Gardening and growing my own produce is one of my favorite joys next to of course – being in the kitchen. Every season of the Finger Lakes and the bounty of each inspire my garden to table recipes and dishes.
